    Description

    Entertainment in Sin Suoi Ho Village

    The Mong people are known to be extremely spiritual. The Gầu Tào festival is the biggest festival of the year for the Mong people. "Gầu Tào" in Hmong means "outdoor play" and takes place on the 3rd to 6th January, of the lunar calendar, which is just after the Tet holiday.  The purpose of the festival is to bless the Mong with health, happiness, prosperity, and help to increase their chances of bumper crops for the future. The celebrations incorporate some rather attractive folk games such which also have some intriguing names – you may be able to join in the fun if you are visiting during this time.

    If you miss the famous Gầu Tào festival, don’t worry because other annual festivals are to be enjoyed later in the year;

    The lesser known Cat's Vegetable festival, which takes place in January-February of the Lunar calendar, the New Seed Festival, which takes place in September-October of the lunar calendar, and the festival of Banh Giay (which occurs from November-December of the Lunar calendar).
